Free MASS KIT for clergy

Other FREE OFFERS for clergy

The Society’s purpose is the priesthood and all that pertains to it and nothing but what concerns it; i.e., the priesthood as Our Lord Jesus Christ willed it when He said, “Do this for a commemoration of me.” SSPX's Statutes

The Priestly Society of St. Pius X was founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre to form holy priests as the Roman Catholic Church has done for centuries, focusing particularly on doctrinal and sacrificial nature of the Priesthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The SSPX also exercises an apostolate to assist other priests to better understand and practice the ministry of their priesthood (see excerpts from the SSPX's Statutes).

To better facilitate this assistance, the SSPX's United States District has a Priests' Training Program in Kansas City, Missouri, where priests may learn how to offer the traditional Roman Mass and administer the traditional sacramental rites, as well as learn about how Modernism is affecting the Church, moral and pastoral theology.

Pastor's Corner: The Catholic Church will never violate the seal of confession

The priests who disliked Mass: Fr. Bryan Houghton

The priests who disliked Mass: Fr. Byran Houghton
"...Every priest had daily said the Old Mass with the required carefulness and with apparent devotion. How could 98% of them willingly accept to change it... What made them accept the changes?... Yet this was the fact of the matter: they could not possibly have loved the Old Mass. It was nothing more than a rite which one could change as simply as one changes clothes. But if they did not like Mass, certainly they were incapable of adoration...

Pastor's Corner: The Origins of the Sexual Abuse Crisis
Why did the Roman Catholic Church experience a sexual abuse crisis? There are no simple answers, according to a five-year study by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (...)
